A new study suggest that waist fat can be deadly, unfortunately those who are trying to lose weight rarely lose belly fat, most diets do not address the root causes of stomach fat. Overall, there were almost 100 heart attacks, 141 cancer cases and 71 deaths. Abdominal fat, which is typically an indicator of fat around internal organs, was associated with incident heart disease and cancer after adjusting for clinical risk factors and general obesity, the researchers found.

Dr. Caroline S. Fox, senior author on the study and a senior investigator revealed the findings, what we can learn is that fat around the belly is a very dangerous type of fat, this can also occur in people who are not very large; many thin people today are still carrying dangerous belly fat. The fact that those who are trying to lose weight rarely drop stomach fat can mean major health complications or even death.

Why stomach fat is so hard to remove

Today most stomach fat is caused by inflammation and insulin resistance due to food chemicals, the food today is highly processed and can lead to obesity. Processed foods such as high fructose corn syrups are not natural and are included in most sweetened food and drink, processed foods lead to cellular inflammation and insulin resistance. It is clear from the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute Laboratory for Metabolic and Population Health study that our excessive fat on the waistline is a strong indication that our livers and hearts are also surrounded by fat which can lead to early death.
