Overall, there were almost 100 heart attacks, 141 cancer cases and 71 deaths. Abdominal fat, which is typically an indicator of fat around internal organs, was associated with incident heart disease and cancer after adjusting for clinical risk factors and general obesity, the researchers found.

Dr. Caroline S. Fox, senior author on the study and a senior investigator revealed the findings, what we can learn is that fat around the belly is a very dangerous type of fat, this can also occur in people who are not very large; many thin people today are still carrying dangerous belly fat. The fact that those who are trying to lose weight rarely drop stomach fat can mean major health complications or even death.

Today most stomach fat is caused by inflammation and insulin resistance due to food chemicals, the food today is highly processed and can lead to obesity.   2. Women who drank one 12-ounce diet soda had a 33 percent increased risk of Type 2 diabetes, and women who drank one 20-ounce soda had a 66 percent increased risk.
  3. Women who drank diet sodas drank twice as much as those who drank sugar-sweetened sodas because artificial sweeteners are more addictive and are hundreds to thousands of times sweeter than regular sugar.
  4. The average diet soda drinker consumes three diet drinks a day.



The reason people are dieting and not getting the results they want is due to the food today which creates insulin resistant cells that make you fat. Insulin resistance cells leads to obesity and this is what many of the foods are doing. Trying to lose weight? See why diets fail


Those who are trying to lose weight are finding it very difficult, the Center for Disease Control shows that there are now over 100 million people in the United States who are overweight. The problem is increasing and it must be stated that people are attempting to drop the pounds but are finding it very difficult; a major cause of this dilemma has to do with the chemicals in the food supply.  If you are trying to lose weight it must be understood that the food today is created to cause weight gain and increae appetite.

One of the ways we can observe that obesity is turning in to a worldwide epidemic is by the way that it is affecting the children, as we witness what is happening to the children it will give us a clue as to what is happening to the adults. Doctors in Massachusetts made a very alarming confession recently; children are being overwhelmed by “adult diabetes” in record numbers. This is a very alarming statistic, it was once very rare for children suffer from the adult type of diabetes but this is not the case today.  Record numbers of children are trying to lose weight; they are dieting but are failing.


“It’s frightening how severe this metabolic disease is in children,” said Dr. David M. Nathan, an author of the study and director of the diabetes center at Massachusetts General Hospital. “It’s really got a hold on them, and it’s hard to turn around.”
